This mountain bike challenge aims to raise money for the special needs school here in Turrialba called:
Centro de Educación Especial Alvaro Rojas Quirós.
The school was founded in 1974 with the purpose of helping children who were hearing impaired.
The school has grown to assist the many children with special needs in the greater Cartago area.
This fun filled day aims at supporting the school, creating environmental and health awareness in our community.

The race begins in Jacó on the Pacific coast and ends in Limón on our Caribbean coast.
Ruta de Los Conquistadores has been quoted as being one of the toughest events in mountain bike racing, m eet some extraordinary racers from around the world. Go through some of the mos t breathtaking terrain in Costa Rica.
The "Ruta" started 17 years ago with one 2 titles having gone to bikers from outside of Costa Rica!
